Live and Learn Launch: The Benefits of Art in Dementia Care

Collective Encounters would like to thank all audience members and contributors who joined us for this month’s launch event at the Tate.  Over 70 people came along to hear more about creating great art with people experiencing dementia and the potential social and health benefits the work can have. We particularly welcomed senior representatives from Liverpool PCT, Arts Council England, Welsh National Opera, Baring Foundation, PH Holt, MDI and the Tate; and contributions from author David Clegg and poet Karen Hayes. We are looking forward to a busy year of researching into best practice in arts and dementia care world-wide and delivering our programme in care homes, day settings and private homes on Merseyside. To keep abreast of this project on a monthly basis, why not sign up to our newsletter.
