Same Words Different Century

Get up. Stand up! Collective Encounters are bringing Same Words Different Century to Light Night 2017.

Same Words Different Centenary is your chance to join Collective Encounters in standing up for what’s right. The performance contains satirical game show called Crackety Cracked, a protest march and a reading of protest letters to past and present political figures. All of the performers will be from Collective Encounters youth theatre, third age and transitions groups.

More Info…

We’re contrasting present day protests with those from the past. ‘Crackety Cracked’ is a modern game show with an interactive element. Its questions challenge audiences with statistics about homelessness from both past and present. The theatrical protests will include recognisable protest songs from throughout the ages. Protest letters include those written to Sir Walter Raleigh and Enoch Powell.
