Youth Outreach

We are committed to giving every young person, no matter of their circumstance or background, the chance to take part in making theatre. This is why we run free outreach courses across Merseyside. We work in

  • children’s care settings
  • with young people on the edge of care
  • pupil referral units
  • with young carers
  • schools and education settings
  • youth clubs and community centres

Each outreach course is designed to meet the needs of the young people involved and it can be a one-off; a five week course or a 10-week arts accredited scheme. If you are a community or public service provider and you have a group that might want to try a bit of theatre for a change then get in touch. All our outreach provision is free made possible through funding from Children in Need.

All our workshops are run by respected community artists and are fully vetted and checked.

Take a look at this video which was created during one of our outreach programmes. During summer 2014 we worked in partnership with TiPP, Unitas and Liverpool Children’s Services to deliver a Summer Arts College for young people aged 14 – 19. They spent three weeks engaging in creative activities including theatre workshops, film-making and screen printing and completed their Bronze Arts Award throughout August. As part of their three weeks together, they created this beautiful stop-motion film with artist Anna White, accompanied by a song which they wrote together with musician Ben Turner.
