Participants from across our programme came together on Saturday 6th September to take part in a huge live artwork at Liverpool Pier Head put together in honour of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, whose work is currently being exhibited at Tate Liverpool.
Using his work as inspiration, Collective Encounters and hundreds of others gathered to form their own Mondrian style piece. All standing together in a carefully curated formation, some groups danced, some sang, some wore matching outfits. Collective Encounters wore red, and held placards spelling Theatre For Social Change. Watch the coverage by the BBC One Show and try and spot us. Peter Carr also took some great photos of the event (including the one above) for Open Culture – take a look at them here.
