Open playgrounds for participatory theatre makers to test out new ideas. Each session will explore different themes & practice areas.

Following on from a series of events exploring participatory theatre during social distancing, these new ‘Open Playground’ events provide an online space in which participatory theatre makers and facilitators can connect with their peers and try out new ideas.

Each playground will focus on online participatory theatre practice with different communities including working with:

  • Young people (13th August)
  • Adults (20th August)
  • Older adults (27th August)
  • Inclusive practice (3rd September)

These ‘Open Playground’ events are not training events but facilitated forums in which new and emerging practice can be tested and shared.

Each ‘Open Playground’ will be facilitated by a member of the Collective Encounters’ team.
