Theatre for Social Change in Bootle, Birkenhead and Knowsley
Above and Beyond was a multi-faceted community theatre project based in Bootle, Birkenhead and Knowsley providing adults with the opportunity to learn skills, explore issues and make their own theatre. The project was led by a local steering group of local community activists and participants in partnership with Abi Horsfield, Collective Encounters’ Outreach Director.

In 2020, during lockdown, local emerging artists were supported to create small commissioned artworks responding to themes of Community Power and Community Action: themes identified by local people during our first wave of workshops.
