Delivering Participatory Theatre During Social Distancing
18th June 2020 at 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Throughout June Collective Encounters is hosting a series of free events for participatory theatre makers & facilitators.
The aim of these events is to provide a safe and fun space for makers & facilitators to share & develop their practice in delivering participatory theatre activities at a distance. Attendees can suggest topics & themes to explore. The conversations with makers we have had so far has told us the following would be useful:
– Games and exercises that can be successfully delivered during online workshops, and test out some that haven’t been used yet.
– From Zoom to room: preparing to deliver workshops in a COVID -19 secure space.
– Good safeguarding practices.
– Making performance online for audiences online.
The first event will take place on Wednesday 3rd June, 2.00pm – 4.00pm, and the remaining events in the series will be on:
Thursday 11st June, 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Thursday 18th June, 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Thursday 25th June, 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Once you have secured your space/s a zoom link will be sent to you, and a link to a shared document with games & exercises that work well online. Please add any games and exercises you have tried to this document.
Please contact Collective Encounters if you require a BSL interpreter to attend these events: admin@collective-encounters.org.uk
