In this workshop, physical theatre and movement artist Emilie Lahouel will introduce ways of moving from text to physical performance, and explore the political potential of physical theatre.

Emmy is a Director and Interdisciplinary Producer whose work has taken her across the UK and beyond. Recent works include: Assistant Director for Selina Thompson’s Salt (The Public Theatre, NYC, Jan 2020), Associate Director Eclipse Theatre’s Black Men Walking (June -Oct19), Assistant Director Princess and the Hustler, Eclipse, Bristol Old Vic & Hull Truck(Nov18 – April19). Engagement Manager and Lead artist The Missy Elliott Project, BAC, Contact, Site Gallery, Dublin Dance Festival, Limerick Dance. Lead artist Ludus Dance Mill girls and Militants & Lodestar. Her latest project DRIFT is supported by The Lowry and develops artists working with technology across art from.
