Part of Collective Encounters’ SUMMER SAMPLERS workshop series for young people aged 13-18.

In this workshop with award-winning writer, performer and theatre-maker Chris Thorpe we’ll look some of the ways our brains process information, and how to combine that with our personal experience to make theatre.

Tuesday 18 August 2020, 4pm-6:15pm

This workshop will take place on Zoom. Book online here and you will be sent a link to the online workshop after registration.

Chris is a theatre-maker, writer and performer from Manchester. Recently he’s written for the Royal Court, the Unicorn and for the Royal Exchange in Manchester, where he was an associate. He also has collaborative relationships with artists like Rachel Chavkin on Confirmation, Status and a new piece in development, Javaad Alipoor, Rachel Bagshaw, with whom he made The Shape of the Pain, and poets Yursa Warsama and Hannah Jane Walker. He tours his work in the UK and overseas, as well as working on community-based projects and mentoring.
