Lead Artist, Where You’re At

This is a fixed-term role delivering phase 1 of a new theatre for social change project for young adults (18-30) who have experience of migration. As Lead Artist you will lead on all aspects of delivery as well as devising the programme and recruiting participants though new and existing partners.

The successful applicant will be someone with good experience of community/participatory theatre and a working knowledge of theatre for social change. They will have an excellent understanding some of the issues facing the migrant community in the UK and ideally have experience of working with people whose first language isn’t English. It is envisaged the artist will be North West based. Due to the nature of the project, we are particularly interested in hearing from artists of colour.

Duration of project: 6 months (approx. 22 days)

Payment: £4,000 total (inclusive of taxes and expenses)

It is not necessary to be registered as self-employed to undertake this role.

Artist, Where You’re At

This is a fixed-term role supporting phase 1 of a new theatre for social change project for young adults (18-30) who have experience of migration. You will support the Lead Artist on all aspects of delivery as well as helping to devise the programme and assist on recruiting participants though new and existing partners.

The successful applicant will be an early career participatory theatre maker with no more than 2 years professional experience in this field. They will have some experience of working with vulnerable adults, and an understanding of the community/participatory theatre sector. A bonus would be experience of working with people whose first language isn’t English. Due to the nature of the project, we are particularly interested in hearing from artists of colour.

Duration of project: 6 months (approx. 14 days)

Payment: £1,800 total (inclusive of taxes and expenses)

It is not necessary to be registered as self-employed to undertake this role.
