Collective Encounters Adult Theatre Social Change Company and the Hip Replacements will be performing a Cabaret for Social Change and we would love you to attend.

With sketches, spoken word and song, the company will explore workers struggles in today’s landscape and celebrate the coming of summer and the fertility of creativity. This is a night not to be missed, so book a ticket and spread the word.

Here is a poem created in preparation:

I’m a carer.

I’m seen as a lesser,

I’m a lesser,

I’m on benefits, they give me an allowance to care for my mum.

But I’m still a lesser,

A claimer

There’s no separation.

I maybe in the autumn of life,

But I have a fertile imagination.

I generate creativity and blossom

And transform like plant life in summer.

In my budding golden years

I prosper, develop, encourage, and slumber.
