Digital Participatory Theatre: Tech for Remote Performance & Streaming

| £20This event will enable participatory theatre makers to take a more in-depth look at the nuts and bolts of remote performance and streaming work online. It will introduce example workflows, with a particular emphasis on experimentation and discovery, and provide a round up of the benefits and challenges of different software & hardware including but not limited to OBS, Qlab, Virtual Webcams, Isadora.
Trainer: Dr. Jason Crouch
Jason has worked across multiple sectors as a multi-disciplined artist, technologist, producer, consultant and researcher. He is a Research Associate for Future Everything where he works on projects such as their research into worldwide arts and technology festivals, and their ongoing European work integrating arts practice with technology development and impacts. His research interests include social and cultural impacts of technology, surveillance capitalism, why ‘digital’ is such a problematic category, and the investigation of human connection in a networked world.
