Talking Participation: Excellence

How is and how should excellence be defined within a participatory arts, community theatre, cultural engagement context?
This free two hour event is for anyone working within the arts and cultural sector. It will provide an open space to discuss, challenge and explore ‘excellence’ and what it means within a participatory arts, community theatre, and cultural engagement context.
The event will be led by two internationally regarded artists with an expertise in participation; Sarah Thornton (Artistic Director, Collective Encounters) and Julia Samuels (Artistic Director, 20 Stories High). It is part of a series of that will explore the critical and ethical issues facing the participatory and engagement sectors. Future Talking Participation themes will include Cultural Democracy & Ethics & Values.
Refreshments will be served throughout.
