we deliver creative courses in school holidays for children and young people in the care system
Arts Adventures allow young people to explore the world around them using theatre, drama, music, and visual arts, alongside trips to local arts and heritage venues, and daily hot meals. Young people learn, create, play and share. All sessions are free and are delivered by a highly-skilled team of multi-disciplinary artists.
They have been running for over a decade and enable young people to:
- Build confidence, self-esteem and resilience
- Have fun and make friends
- Develop skills in creativity, team work, communication, and independence
- Develop English as a second language
- Explore issues that matter to them and develop their understanding of the world
- Be heard and be supported to advocate for themselves
- Broaden horizons and learn about different educational and career options
Arts Adventures are run in partnership with Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and with a range of other local arts, culture, and educational establishments. Every summer, young people work towards a performance alongside professional artists, sharing their thoughts, feelings and creative expression.
