Break Free was a collaborative project between Collective Encounters and St Helen’s Council using the arts to explore issues related to mental health.  Aidan Jolly, the lead artist on the project, worked through poetry, music, song and storytelling with groups to explore participants own experience of mental health and the challenges faced.  As well as looking at the personal experience of mental health difficulties participants have been considering the wider factors in society that contribute to so many people experiencing mental health difficulties today.
